Benji Fisher has been very active for some time in the migrate issue queue, answering questions in slack and moving things along in that space. He has helped manage and run migrate meetings, and is well versed in the migration sub-system. He has the full support from the migrate maintainers to add him as an official maintainer.

@mikelutz:

Thanks for the vote of confidence! It is an honor to be invited to join you and the others.

I notice that the current four maintainers are not listed chronologically. Coincidentally, they are sorted both by first and last names. That means I am not sure whether to add my name first (Fisher < Globus-Hoenich) or second (Adam < Benji < Lucas). I have attached two patches, one with each option.

I too am excited to have Benji join the team. I agee with Mike, he has been doing great work in migrate. For myself, I always find his comments extremely thorough and easy to understand, a skill I highly value.

As for the order, I don't care. I just scanned MAINTAINERS.txt and there is no pattern that I could discern.

I haven't been super active in Migrate recently, but I have seen Benji active in the Slack meetings and in certain issues. I agree with @quietone that his perspective, technical knowledge, and communication skills would bring great value to the migration team. +1

+1 on adding Benji. One thing lacking (as a formality) is a committment from Benji that's happy to support the responsibilities listed in https://www.drupal.org/contribute/core/maintainers#subsystem.

@heddn, thanks for the support and for mentioning that requirement. Thanks also to @quietone and @phenaproxima.

I have reviewed the responsibilities for Subsystem Maintainers. If I am confirmed as one of the Subsystem Maintainers for the migration subsystem, then I commit to working with the other maintainers to meet those responsibilities,

@benjifisher will make a great subsystem maintainer -- someone RTBC this so I can commit it. :)

Committed to 9.1.x, 9.0.x, 8.9.x, and 8.8.x. Thanks!

I've also added Benji to the g.d.o/core group and granted him "Maintain issues" permission on 3060. Enjoy your massive select list on the "Assigned" field.

Welcome!

I am not sure how to confirm that. I do not see any new options for the Assigned field. I thought it might take a while to take effect, but it has been more than a week. I also tried logging out and logging in again.

OK, I did confirm g.d.o/core.
