I tested this on Drupal 10.1.x, standard install and was not able to reproduce the problem. Here are two examples. The second was created by adding a long title to \Drupal\off_canvas_test\Controller\TestController.

Therefore, closing as outdated. If this is incorrect reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and add a comment explaining what still needs to be done.
