Allow comparison of date range fields.

When an ordinary Date field is added to a View Filter Criteria there are a list of comparisons offered such as 'greater than'. These comparisons are not available for the date range.

My 'Event' views have relied on a comparison of '> -1 day' to exclude events which have completed. Now I want date ranges but cannot create such a filter. (I would be wanting a criteria of '> -1 day' for the end date of the range).
