Not quite sure of this is the right component to report the issue.

I just noticed that this url:

/de/search/node

was highlighting my link in the language links block, while this url:

/de/search/node?keys=

did not. I guess this is a bug?

Good catch, and thanks for reporting this issue! I think it is a bug in the Language Switcher block, not the Search module, so moving to that component.

I tested this on 10.0.x, demo_umami, install and was not able to reproduce the problem.

Therefore, closing as outdated. If you are experiencing this problem on a supported version of Drupal reopen the issue, by setting the status to 'Active', and provide complete steps to reproduce the issue (starting from "Install Drupal core").
