cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedThis is unusual. Are there any PHP errors reported in the server log?
Is this the first time you have tried to install Drupal 8 in this environment?
Alaa Rihan CreditAttribution: Alaa Rihan commentedSame error.
I tried to install Drupal 8 beta15 in Wamp server
When I clicked the error page I saw this result:

cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedPlease check the requirements for Drupal 8. Does your WAMP install have the correct version of PHP, RAM, etc?
Are you installing from a zip download?
kevincam CreditAttribution: kevincam commentedI have this same error and can't complete the install. I have all the requirements met.
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commented@kevincam Can you please share details of your environment. Also: Is this beta15? Do you have the same PHP errors as @alaaddeen reported in #3.

sourabhutani CreditAttribution: sourabhutani as a volunteer commentedI was also facing same issue but by adding below line the problem is sorted out.
Add following line in settings.php file then error will fix.
ini_set('xdebug.max_nesting_level', 300);

MichaelB CreditAttribution: MichaelB commentedI am still experiencing the same problem as #3, even with the fix proposed by #9.
My environment : wamp on windows 7 with apache 2.4.9 and php 5.5.12
Edit : It actually worked with the minimal profil install, not working with the default one.
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commented@MichaelB Is xdebug enabled on your system?
MichaelB CreditAttribution: MichaelB commented@cilefen It is
It actually worked with the minimal profil install, not working with the default one.
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commented@MichaelB Try disabling xdebug and see if it works. Incidentally, I turn on xdebug only when needed because it is a performance hit.
MichaelB CreditAttribution: MichaelB commentedGreat, It worked.
Thanks @cilefen

kevincam CreditAttribution: kevincam commentedI just tried Beta 16 and it installs with not problem.

Symmorphia CreditAttribution: Symmorphia commentedI have the same problem as #18 when I try to install Drupal 8.2.4 (standard or minimal) on Apache 2.4.18 (Ubuntu) with PHP 7.0.8.
Every time I try to install Drupal, after submitting my database configuration the installation wizard redirects back me to its start page and after selecting language and profile again, I get the error message above. I noticed that not all database tables are created, so the initial exception probably occurs during table creation.

Does anyone have a fix for this?
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commented@auxiliaryjoel Did you read through this issue? What have you tried so far?
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedIf I remember correctly, this could be from not setting max_allowed_packet high enough in MySQL or #9 above. This is covered in the system requirements.
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedLet's make this a duplicate of #2594351: UnmetDependenciesException when installing Drupal 8
Comment #35
vlad13 CreditAttribution: vlad13 as a volunteer commented@auxiliaryjoel, try to delete `settings.php` or `sudo mv settings.php settings.php.bak` in your `sites/default` folder. And navigate to http://sitename-or-ip/core/install.php
Finally, try to install from drush, not GUI:
auxiliaryjoel CreditAttribution: auxiliaryjoel commentedHi cilefen, yes I tried #9 and it did not fix the issue, the error remains.
However maybe I need to scrap the build/directory entirely and do the #9 fix first, prior to running the installer.
I will try that shortly, but first I will see if any other replies solve the issue...
I also tried installing via composer in of different ways, eg. this way:
composer create-project drupal-composer/drupal-project:8.x-dev mydir --stability dev --no-interaction
and this way:
composer create-project drupal-composer/drupal-project:8.x-dev mydir --no-interaction
but in either case, the same error occurs after the database and install type steps, next step after that displays the issue with no ability to ignore or proceed
Comment #37
auxiliaryjoel CreditAttribution: auxiliaryjoel commentedHi vlad13
I did try going direct to the install.php path as you suggested,
Once with settings.php still there,
and the process occurred as always:
allows me to run through steps, add database, choose install type, but then the error occurs
Next I tried same again with the settings.php file removed,
but now it just gives me a page within the installer telling me I need to provide a settings.php file
so I went back to reinstate the settings php, and noticed that the system had already built it's own one...?
so I jumped back to the install browser window and hit refresh, and I got the same error again
Comment #38
auxiliaryjoel CreditAttribution: auxiliaryjoel commentedHi again cilefen
I checked the System Requirements link that you provided me and followed the links within that page,
but when searching all those pages I could not find any mention of:
max_allowed_packet
or
packet
So not sure how to address that one?
auxiliaryjoel CreditAttribution: auxiliaryjoel commentedAnd just to clarify, cilefen,
I am running this on localhost inside MAMP on Mac,
And in MAMP's htdocs I have to previous sites still running OK that both installed fine using the same method
so I'm not sure how this new one could be an issue whilst the other 2 (both made within the last 3months) both installed OK and run OK.
The fact the other 2 are working alright makes me wonder if the drupal source files that composer reaches for when it runs:
composer create-project drupal-composer/drupal-project:8.x-dev mydir --no-interaction
have changed in some way?
jboyette36 CreditAttribution: jboyette36 commentedI was having the same issue as @auxiliaryjoel (Drupal core 8.6.13) but was finally able to get the install to work using the drush method suggested by @vlad13 in #35. (Thanks a bunch, BTW.) One thing surprised me though, I had to make sure and NOT setup an empty database database_name like I was used to doing with Drupal 6/7. Then, when drush asks "You are about to CREATE the database. Do you want to continue?" type "yes." Not sure if the same would help when using the UI based install.

yookoala CreditAttribution: yookoala commentedI reached a similar issue with my own profile.
Upon test, I would see this problem at the beginning of my installation (right after pressing "Next" after the language selection). There are some database table in my target database (I have configured database in my settings.php manually before running installation). And I need to remove my database to restart the process.
Now, if I clear the database and the with file folder (i.e. "sites/default/files"), my installation would go into the same deadend. But if I leave the files in "sites/default/files" and only clear the database, the installation would go successful. The difference in the public file folder would only be a translation .po file and some php cache for twig.
I'm guessing that the download or generation of twig cache is parallel to other installation parts and expected a relatively fast I/O speed. If the installation phase continued before the backend cache is done, the unexpectedly long rendering time of previous step might cause errors of such in later steps (i.e. the database doesn't yet know about the previously installed module was there because of some write lock pending on slow filesystem I/O.)
