Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
The current info format supports only "positive" dependencies, i.e. modules which must be activated for the considered module to install.
It would be useful if the syntax could be extended to "negative" dependencies, i.e. modules which must NOT be activated for the considered module to install.
It would avoid users trying to install incompatible modules, like multiple alternate search modules or taxonomy replacements without unloading taxonomy.
