Droogle uses Google Documents List API version 3.0 (through Zend Gdata). However, according to Google, this API is deprecated in favor of API is Drive SDK v2.

Now, it seems the new Drive API is more restricted. Is there a particular reason why Droogle uses the old API or was it recommended at the time?

I'm investigating Droogle-like functionality, but I'm not sure about the API...
