Hi,

I've set up a draggable views table with an access restrict to the role of 'editor'. Now when view my page as an 'editor', I don't see the handles to drag the rows. I do see the order-dropdowns, which I can manipulate and save successfully. Now when I view the same page as User-1, I do see the handles.

I'm confused as I don't know what the difference makes between user-1 and 'editor'. When I change the view access to 'unrestricted', my 'editor' role still can't see the handlers.

Any ideas what I can do to debug this?

Tnx in advance.
Cheers,
Danny

Ok, I found it. I needed to check 'administer views' in the permissions page.

I don't know the motivations behind this, the only difference is that I can see the handler now. I rather not give the user access to change all the views just to give him a simple handler... As I said, I could still rearrange rows and save them without the handler anyway. The actual functionality wasn't broke.

Is this a safety issue? Can a user perform a hack on the handler?

I guess you're looking for the "Allow Reordering" permission.
I added a hint at the documentation page: http://drupal.org/node/283498
