Frontpage access denied on secondary domains

I have a domain-access-based site with 5 domains, which has been working properly.
I recently installed domain variable to overcome a domain-specific-issue in another module, and it successfully solved my problem.

However, today, I went to change my module-specific-variable, and after saving, I broke my secondary domains' frontpages.
primary domain front page loads fine
secondary domains front page loads menus/blocks/views-based content but won't load my frontpage-content-type content, and the page's HTML title is "Access denied". I can navigate to any other page and they works fine. I have no idea how to fix the issue.
When I was editing the variable, I may have been accessing it as an admin from the secondarydomain.com/admin/structure/domain/view/*/edit - I don't know if that's a relevant issue.
