The default message on saving a new document is

The document has been submitted. Please wait until administrators review and publish it.

This message may work for those who implement that assumed work flow, but is inappropriate if users may upload without review.

It would be preferable to have messages configurable in the admin interface.

Okay this should be fixed. That message is only shown to the users now if the document status is unpublished. If its published, user does not get to see that status.

I have not provided admin configurable messages for now, because they did not make sense to me. Feel free to re-open this issue and provide a more detailed explanation on what kind of admin configurable messages you are looking for and I will have a re-look then.
