Uninstalled in order to install dev-version due to this issue http://drupal.org/node/1224316 but although it doesn't show up in the uninstall list, the modules are in the modules list (and even configureable, even taking snapshots) and of course I can't install the dev-version since "it's already installed".
D7.14 and latest (downloaded today) stable version.

Exact same problem for me.

---deleted all snapshots I tried to create
---de-activated the modules
---performed an uninstall
---Even deleted the "demo" folder from the sites/all/modules folder,
---reset all cache,
---logged out and in.
---and even uploaded the dev version, but it doesn't read it as the dev version.

Its still in the modules list. D7.14 stable / register_globals=Off / php_ini 128Mb
