This is a feature request to support the export/import of Entity Reference fields (http://drupal.org/project/entityreference), similar to the way node reference fields are currently supported.

I've created a plugin for entity reference fields that works as long as the referenced entity is a node. I have not tried it with other entity types. Please see attached patch.
