deGov

deGov - Drupal for German Government

deGov is the first Drupal distribution focussing on the needs of (German) governmental organisations. It uses Lightning media as a basis and extends it with valueable functions to meet the use cases for different scenarios:

• Websites for governmental organisations from all levels (federal, regional, local) to publish information
• Service-oriented E-Government portals to close the gap between citizens and your administration
• Citizen Engagement portals to discuss and decide online
• Open311 portals for civic issue tracking
• Open data portals to publish and create communities around data
• Intranet/Extranet for government employees

Issue template

This issue queue is monitored by developers and other technical types. We like detail! So please use the deGov issue template and tell us, concisely but precisely, what's up. Please fill out ALL THE REQUIRED FIELDS! Issues with missing or incomplete issue templates will be closed.

Contributing

You are welcome to post your issues into our issue queue and provide patches. You can also create pull requests on Bitbucket. We are using the Bitbucket repositories for continuous integration (CI) via Pipelines. The Bitbucket repository might have newer code commits and tags, than the current Drupal.org release.

deGov 1.x legacy releases can be accessed at GitHub.

Semantic versioning model

We want to document new features and bugfixes via our versioning model. Also we want to publish bugfixes as soon as possible. Therefore we have introduced a 4-characters long last version number within the Drupal version model. See examples and further information.

Bitbucket

Currently development is happening on Bitbucket at https://bitbucket.org/publicplan/degov/overview and is synced back for releases. Bitbucket offers us CI pipelines und PR functionality. What makes development with the help of automated testing much easier. Please create issues on Drupal.org.
