The date pager delegates the in the view for path generation, when using this in a multilingual site with path translation only the base path gets translated but path with arguments variants are generated in the base language. By design Views module doesn't check for drupal_get_alias() function but instead allows you to pass the base path instead of using the one configured on the display (aka alias resolution) an this could be exploited as a workaround to this issue.
