I currently have a Drupal 8 alpha version ready based on the current 7.x-1.x branch at https://github.com/Arkener/datatables. As this module doesn't seem to be supported anymore, I'd like to become a (co-)maintainer and complete the port to Drupal 8 and start emptying the issue queue.

I'm currently the maintainer of the FooTable module, which is partly based on this module.
