How to disable the slideshow in Drupal 8

For disabling the slideshow from the landing page you need to remove the following section from page.html.twig present in the template folder.

Below is the code which needs to be deleted from page.html.twig:

Hi, I have reviewed the previous comment and I see that it is not correct, since when deleting the page.html.twig section the slider will be completely removed, ie it can not be used at any other time and what is requested is to disable it, which allows in the future to have the possibility to activate it or not.

In the theme settings there is a checkbox to enable or disable the slider on the home page (attached image).
I also see that this checkbox does not fulfill its function, therefore create a file with the solution of the case, so you can enable or disable the slider in relation to the configuration checkbox.

It is necessary to delete caches, after uploading the patch, because a twig file was modified.
