In the documentation it says, the best way to get rid of the slideshow is to use the subtheme Danblog.
Where do I find that theme. I have latest Drupal 8 version in core.
Speaking of D 8, is there coming some documentation that are more fitting this version of Drupal?

I am also waiting for this, last I heard it was going to be added as a separate release but that was a long time ago

I, too, would like to know the answer to this. I am developing a new D9 site now for which Danblog would work nicely. The banner is just not appropriate for this particular site. Anyone figure this out?
