Drupal 8 port?

@armrus told me that he has already finished it himself and I gave him an access to publish it. So I myself wait for it :-)

Any news on that? Is the 8.x branch ok to be used? Maybe you could add a release?

I'de like to see an 8||9 release. Any chance of this?

In Drupal 8 we can gain almost the same result by adding exclusions to our composer.json file. You can see an example here - https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/using-composer/using-drupals-compose.... I do not see any need to port this module.

Actually, I worked out a way of using post deployment bash commands which I was able to automate.

That said, such techniques are above some site builders and many of those that might be new to Drupal. This is a general trend which bothers me. We all have to start somewhere.

I ported the module to D8/9 version and published a dev release. It would be great if you tested it and report any bugs to me.

I just tested against 8.9.9 and find no problems.

Thank you for working on this. I plan to include it in a distribution for schools. The use case being to restrict indexing of photographs.
