This is a follow-up to #1965130: How to add a country flag?:
I have installed the modules Countries 7.x-2.1, Country Icons 7.x-2.0-beta1 and (Country Icons) Shiny iconset 7.x-2.x-dev.
In a Profile 2 profile, I have added a field of type Country with the widget Select list. Under the Manage display tab, I have selected the Country Icon formatter. However, this resulted in displaying the message "Missing icon or spirte plugin" next to it.
Can you please give instructions on how to display a country with its icon on a entity/node?
Thanks.

By default, this is the issue (and a bug)
Click the cog to the right
After clicking Update. (Note you also need to save at the bottom of the page)
As per the setup in #2
From step 2, this time setting the name

Maybe a quick fix could just be to rename the message "Missing icon or spirte plugin" (also note the typo in spirte which should read sprite) to something like "You have to configure this format by clicking the cog icon to the right".
