Status: Needs review » Needs work

I do not see an alpha nor beta release on the project page, just a dev version, so I am marking this "Needs Work".

Looks like this module already has a development release: https://www.drupal.org/project/beautytips
Is any work left on it?

More work remains on this.

When I was trying it out just now, when I'd found the page for adding a custom tip in the (included) beautytips_manager module, which notably is not linked from anyplace that I can see, my site white screened until I uninstalled the beautytips_manager module. When I checked Watchdog, this is the php error that came up. Referrer of the page the form was on, Location being where I was sent to after trying to save it.

Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\Exception\ServiceNotFoundException: You have requested a non-existent service "path.alias_manager.cached". Did you mean this: "path.alias_manager"? in Drupal\Component\DependencyInjection\Container->get() (line 157 of /.../drupal/8.x/core/lib/Drupal/Component/DependencyInjection/Container.php).

I may put some time into resolving this over the course of this month, should it not be seen to by someone else.

The status `Needs work` means that work on the port started, evidenced by the development release on its project page.
Obviously, it needs work in the meaning normally used in issue queues, there is no stable release yet!

Please create an issue with the project itself for support on the development release. This issue is about the port itself, not about issues with the ported module. Obviously, you may provide a link here to issues with the port. Provided the maintainer did not choose to have a roadmap issue in his queue.

Status: Closed (outdated) » Needs review

With an alpha, Status should be Needs review.

Status: Closed (outdated) is not used in this project!
