I would definately be happy to see this module in Drupal 8.
I cannot live without it lol, i use it every website i make. Its so useful!
Thanks alot for the module!
Hello guys, we've done the port, please see the initial version attached. Would you mind giving me a contributor status so i can properly commit it here and create an initial version?
No, I mean to say that filtering using the checkboxes wasn't working correctly. Checking again it now seems okay, sorry for the noise, maybe I had some sort of cache issue, or perhaps I was just tired when I was trying it :D

I found this page and have installed your ported module_filter module and --- THANK YOU !!! It works like a champion and provides a great way to better manage modules. Just curious - will you be adding the green color back for the modules that are "ON" ? So far all works as expected, but the ON modules have grey "buttons".
The module brings another approach to the interface of modules selection, not only the filter modules by arbitrary search string. Accordingly to statistics 320K users installed it for Drupal 7 (quite big amount) so i assume a lot of them expect to see the D8 version when they will upgrade their websites or start new ones.
Should we probably launch a poll or something before making such decision to deprecate this module?
I never knew this module existed! Drupal 8 has a built in filter function which works somewhat like this module. Having got used to it on D8, I find the D7 module page unusable, which made me go looking for this module, and it's wonderful. Not so essential on D8, but I expect I'll be installing when a stable release is available.
Installed a module. Filter works great! But I've noticed a small visual detail - when modules list is long and you scroll up that list - left bar with module categories disappears until you reach top or try to scroll down.
UnexpectedValueException: Could not decode JSON file "/home/public_html/modules/module_filter/composer.json". Error message: Syntax error in Drupal\composer_manager\JsonFile::read() (line 31 of /home/public_html/modules/composer_manager/src/JsonFile.php).

aleksey.tk CreditAttribution: aleksey.tk commentedIf you are about disabling modules via checkboxes - this is not possible in Drupal 8. If not - please explain better what you have in mind!

geru CreditAttribution: geru commentedTrailing comma throws Composer error:
"homepage": "https://www.drupal.org/u/alexshipilov",
Once that is fixed, it seems to work as expected.
