It seems like there is an issue with the logic, we've ran into a couple of instances where if there is a rule that sets an item to hidden it will not save after it has been filled in when we have the fields filled in so it will show. This was while working in a new Content Type. The fields ranged from simple text input, radio buttons, and image fields. It stopped saving every time we added a operation that involved a dependent being hidden.

Thanks for the report and all the efforts in here. But due to inactivity in this issue for some years and because of the upcoming EOL of Drupal 7, I will close this issue on the way cleaning up the issue queue.
