Reference Pages With Contradictory Instructions for 8.x
Documentation Issues Detail
Issue
Incorrectly states to use Composer Manager and Packagist Modules for 8.x. Very confusing page with too many option processes that overlap. Difficult to understand what you are supposed to do. Section on updating drupal incomplete and not relevant to page, better on another page. It appears the page has issues just because there have been a lot of folks with input, but now needs to be cleaned up and removal of legacy methods.
Page Composer Manager for Drupal 8 mentions to implement for 8.x two depreciating modules (Composer Manager and Packagist). It is confusing to what you are supposed to do for 8.x regarding composer, do you or do you not use composer manager and packagist. When you go to those modules, it says not to implement them for 8.x. However this page implies that you do implement them.<code>
Proposed Sections to Remove/Correct
- "Composer Manager provides the following functionality Section..."
- Installation steps 1 and 2 "Install the Composer Manager module....."
- Updating Drupal Core --> this section is referencing step 6 but there are only 3 steps

markhalliwellSince this module no longer officially supports Drupal 8 (because it has native composer support since 8.1.x+), marking this issue as outdated.
