How can I show the sidebar content on group content pages

When you open a group you see the activity stream, latest events and more information in the sidebar.
I'd like to show all this content in all group content as well.

So when you're viewing a group blog post, I'd like to see the group activity stream. I've tried for days to get this working using Panelizer, but I failed. Any thoughts on how this can be achieved? And maybe this would be good for anyone, so that we 'fix' this is Commons as well?
