This looks like fun, I'll write some default content for you. Q&A seems to be working in 7.x-3.x-dev now. For "add additional content inside the groups" - any more detail on what you want, or just some posts about anything?

Attached patch to add user avatars.

Need to put in avatar images into profile images directory. The naming scheme is 'avatar{n}.jpg'. Need 5 images for the 5 created users in the install routine (I have also attached one avatar to get started).

Thanks, davidseth! I've broken this task off into #1905494: Provide user avatars for demo users that we can address it while still keeping track of the larger initiative to improve default content in Commons.
