Replication of Bug:

  • Brand new install of Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.40
  • Do zero modifications of any kind
  • From Blocks page (/admin/structure/block) try to open, “Demonstrate block regions (Commerce Kickstart Theme)”
  • Sends you to page, /admin/structure/block/demo/commerce_kickstart_theme

Result:

403 error

Adding this as a comment, so as not to confuse the root issue (e.g. broke on initial install)..

When I visit /admin/appearance (Theme selection page) I find that Bartik 7.52 is the Enabled Theme and both ‘Commerce Kickstart Theme 7.x-2.40 (default theme)’ and ‘Commerce Kickstart Admin Theme 7.x-2.40’ are in the Disabled Themes section.

The only message on the Status Report page is that 4 byte UTF-8 for mysql is disabled.

As a temporary fix, until the dev’s can do the next patch, enable and set as default ‘Commerce Kickstart Theme 7.x-2.40.’
