Allow the use of a different field formatter in the download link after checkout

I have created a new field formatter based on Commerce File formatter provided by the module. This new formatter does some processing of the file before downloading it (basically it stamps PDF with the name of the customer and the date).

I'm able to use the new formatter when viewing the product in the Files tab of the customer, but not when the link is first presented at the end of the checkout process.
