But I did not find ...

With version 2 of the Insert module in the making, I am scanning what might need to be considered to be included in that version.

Though not as comfortable as in Drupal 7, combining Colorbox and Insert is possible in Drupal 8 already. My plan is to include a sub-module in Insert that acts as the interface to the Colorbox module. (With Colorbox being a image field formatter in Drupal 8, I do not think the interface to Insert belongs into that module like it was in the D7 version.)
