Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
We're developing a Drupal 7 site and want to use CKEditor for content creation. On the intranet, it works fine. However, when the server is accessed over our Cisco VPN (the in-browser version, not the VPN Client), CKEditor does not appear, and we instead get the default Drupal editor. I'm getting no Javascript errors at all when this happens, and nothing appears to be blocked in the VPN logs. Is there a known issue with using CKEditor for Drupal over a VPN (or even over SSL)?

dczepierga CreditAttribution: dczepierga commentedHi, I've never heard about problem with CKEditor in web-based VPN client - no one never write about sth like that.
Maybe u could try to upload only CKEditor library to webserver and try to run any build-in sample - samples u have in
_samples
directory...Try also to check errors/net tab in Firebug (Firefox addon), maybe sth not load through VPN...
Greetings

Resource interpreted as Script but transferred with MIME type text/x-javascript: "https://vpn.yyyy.xxx/+CSCOE+/apcf". edit:2

dczepierga CreditAttribution: dczepierga commentedIt's only look like problem in VPN configuration - it's not recognized MIME type text/x-javascript... So u must read how to configure additional MIME type nothing else...
I don't see where this issue is related with CKEditor module? U have error in the begining of parsing some JavaScript so parsing is stopped and CKEditor never load then... u must do sth with this errors and then everything should start to work...
Greetings

Are there any 404 errors, or request that other dubious?
Theoretically, you can compare ckeditor.js that your browser has been included in one package.
