6.x-2.9 tag missing in git

May be I am mistaken or may be it is a bug in PHPStorm, but in branch 6.x-2.x there seems to be missing a tag for 6.x-2.9. I am changing the whole development of my site to git and I had a hard time finding the right revision to check out to synchronise it with this release. As tar.gz download it is dated Jan 7th, but when I track the revisions I see changes in changelog.txt under the same version up to March 15th! So I am wondering what is the version I have installed in production now.

Would be good to clear this up!
