Is there a way to make it so that all users have access to a field via content permissions as the default instead of having to always go into permissions and specifically grant them access to the field? Perhaps using a rule or something?

Or perhaps have checkboxes like in D7 where a field must explicitly be selected to have permissions for "Edit", "View" and "Delete" for anyone + owner. That'd be huge.
