there are the modded file to make possible using brilliant gallery with colorbox (only abilitate in colorbox module configuration the colorbox-load class). I hope it's useful. Use it on last version of brilliant gallery 4 for drupal 6. I've modified also the info file, but it's necessary test it all!

A similar feature request for Colorbox is being dealt with in #1282776: Adding Colorbox support to Brilliant Gallery.
A patch for 7.x-1.6 is already available thanks to @mike1996.
