Overview

This module provides Media integration for the Brightcove module to make Brightcove videos available as File entities.

This Brightcove Media project is only compatible with Brightcove 7.x-5.x. For earlier/later versions, you must use the Brightcove Media module bundled with the main Brightcove module.

Media support in Brightcove 7.x-6.x is currently under testing. Please see this issue for the current status.

Compatibility

  • The 7.x-1.x branch is compatible with Media 7.x-1.x
  • The 7.x-2.x branch is compatible with Media 7.x-2.x

Installation

Install and configure general settings of the Brightcove and Brightcove field modules.

  • Configure API keys.
  • Create at least one Brightcove player and set as default.

Install the Brightcove Media module and all the dependencies.

Configure the WYSIWYG module.

  • Enable the Convert Media tags to markup option under the textformat settings.
  • Enable the Media Browser plugin under the WYSIWYG plugin settings.

Configure the File Entity module.

  • Enable and configure Brightcove Video Display under the Video Manage File Display settings.
  • Drag the Brightcove Video Display above the Video Display

Features

  • Media Browser integration gives the ability to Embed, Upload or Search Brightcove videos or playlists through WYSIWYG.
  • Brightcove specific formatters for the File Entity module.
