Please follow these upgrade steps if you have media_entity_brightcove enabled:

  1. uninstall media_entity_brightcove submodule
  2. upgrade media_entity to core's media: https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/core/modules/media/faq-transition-from-med...
  3. upgrade brightcove module to 8.x-2.1 and enable media_brightcove
