Gaps in Display of Sliced Image - Firefox Only

I have a large image on a page in my Bluemarine project. The image is sliced for performance and so that I can swapout component images using javascript. In IE 6 the image appears without a problem. In Firefox version 1.5.0.7 there are small gaps between the slices. The gaps between slices go away if the html page is opened in Firefox outside of Drupal. Please help - most of the people that I know that come to my site use Firefox.
