When Drupal executes hook_ENTITY_TYPE_view() is throwing an exception since _l() is deprecated.
I will attach a possible solution for it, however you could argue about the better implementations.

The patch no apply because not find modules/contrib/blog/blog.module so I've edited.

Have committed to fix the issue for now. The code may be refactored after I have raised an issue to get the tests to pass.
