There isn't any alternative available for this module and last commit was more than 2 years ago. It will be interesting to work all those issues.

There are a lot of opened issues there and nobody is maintaining the module. I needed a similar module for one of my clients that's why I'm interested init especially that the the last commit was more than 2 years ago.

There is a branch for 8.x which is not ready to use yet, even the admin form isn't being saved or retrieved.
