Per http://wimleers.com/blog/drupal-8.1-bigpipe-module-experimental, BigPipe 1.4 for Drupal 8.0 is released on the same day as Drupal 8.1.4.
Changes since 8.x-1.1:
- #2698811 by danmuzyka, Wim Leers, jhedstrom, Fabianx: BigPipe unnecessarily renders and sends multiple-occurrence placeholders multiple times when using JS — can cause JS errors
- Follow-up for issue #2644146 by Wim Leers: strip the README, refer to https://www.drupal.org/documentation/modules/big_pipe + https://www.drupal.org/documentation/modules/big_pipe/environment instead.
