Hello,

When I add my server and salt key in D7 in this way http://url/bigbluebutton there is a connection error. When I add it in this way http://url:8080/bigbluebutton there is no error and connection is good.

Now when I add a meeting and want to go there, the page cannot be found because the :8080 is wrong for connecting to the meeting. Is there something in the config for bbb that goes wrong?

What happens, when you open http://url in a browser?

When I open in a browser, I come at the demo page of BBB and can login from there.. So it seems to work.

what version of BBB you running ?

I'am running bbb 0.8-beta-4. What happens, when you press "Save configuration" instead of "Test Connection"? Try to press "Save configuration" twice.

ok latest dev works, also I need to be sensitive to Domain Access in my own set-up i.e. do a Test Connection from the correct active domain with the salt ...

The connection has been established succesfully. Please save your settings now.

I configured BBB in my hosting server 2 years before out of contributed module. The official BBB doc is awesome to setup BBB. Here is the link http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/install/bbb-conf.html . Good luck!
