I can say this module has never worked for me on several sites.....the dataases that get downloaded are always broken....and I cant open them after downloading them

They ge downloaded but when I try to open it with winrar...it says that the file is corrupted....
Is this a bug going on for several years??
Is there anybody who does use this module?

I mean you cant rely on this module....becuase it does not download the complete database file......
I use bluehost server...most popular hosting provider....so I doubt it is because of Bluehost

I'm sorry you're having problems with the module. It works great for many sites, but it seems that a problem somewhere is causing it to not work correctly for you.

I've started documenting what to do in your scenario here: https://www.drupal.org/docs/7/modules/backup-and-migrate-drupal-7/my-sit... I'll try to work out some things to help track down the cause of the problem, but in the meantime it would be useful to explain what sort of configuration was used for the backup, what version of PHP you're using, how much memory is available to the PHP process, what the max_execution_time value is set to, whether you excluded all of the cache, search and watchdog tables' data, whether you have it set to compress the files after generating the backup, how large the files are after you create them, etc. Thanks.
