I've noticed that running "drush bb db nodesquirrel" can take a long time (almost 7 minutes), even on a small site. It would be useful if the time was logged along to way to help identify whether the time problems were because of problems generating the archive (e.g. db really slow) or transmission (e.g. network connection problems to NodeSquirrel).

ronan CreditAttribution: ronan commentedThat's a good idea. I have a tentative plan to break backups into discrete steps that can be run with batch api (to prevent timeouts when running via apache) but it'll be a pretty big change. This functionality would be trivial once that's done though.
