Hi

i came across this page http://www.sallyscottages.co.uk/node/914/prices-availability-booking?sle... (this is not my website)

it has similar functionality to availability calendars, except it displays period blocks, e.g. 7 days, or short breaks, e.g. 3 days, and it has prices attached to those period blocks

an example of one i have on my website is here http://www.exclusivenorthdevon.co.uk/braunton/treetops.html

is this something that may be possible now there is movement over to entities?

also, would it be possible to make the start days editable per node/calendar instead of site wide? its just that for large websites with many properties, e.g. agencies, properties changeover on different days, e.g. friday and saturday

i would be happy to sponsor some more work if so...

You are not the first to ask. So I know there is a demand for it. But at the same time I'm hesitating to even start thinking about how to integrate it. This because I see fundamental differences between this module and how to fulfill this request.

In this module:
- Availability is kept track of by entering it manually, while your system suggests that availability is the mere result of the defined slots minus the already booked slots.
- Availability is a per day property, while in your system it would be defined as slots of multiple days.
- Availability search for a given period is just the result of availability for the individual days in that period, while in your system it would have to look at matching available slots.

So what you are looking for is a way to
- define slots (start date, end date, price, status (available/booked/option), etc.)
- show the slots on a calendar
- allow to book a slot (including detecting overlapping slots and set them to no longer available as well)

In the past I have looked at other projects that might handle this, but did not found real alternatives, certainly not for D7. I'm not sure how the current situation is, but a quick search did not reveal much.

[If you want so, we can discuss further offline]

How did you eventually solve this?
