I want to give up maintainership for this module, since we're not really using it at epiqo any more and I don't have time to fix all the issues, much less port it to drupal 8.

If you are interested please write back to this issue. It would be cool if you have would at least have submitted a patch to one of the open issues.

I'd be interested in porting this module to Drupal 8.

I haven't seen anything else equivalent in Drupal 8 core or contrib, have you? If there isn't anything else equivalent/close in your opinion, then I'd be willing to do the Drupal 8 port (event if it's a lot of work). How hard/much work do you think it would be?

Has anyone else expressed interest? It appears not, as I'm the only reply. However, I did see some of the work that was started: https://www.drupal.org/node/2754715 so maybe we could port together and co-maintain?

I'd be interested in helping porting this over to Drupal 8, as well.

I haven't seen anything equivalent in D8 core and haven't encountered any other contrib modules that are like this one.
