Hello i have been having this problem a lot of late. It has to be something to do with my theme as it all works well on Adminal admin theme. I have a bootstrap subtheme. As mentioned i know the problem isnt here but i dont know where else to ask i was hoping someone else might have had and resolved the same problem.

If i have it on single terms i just get a black field but with no java selection. It does create the term but no auto suggestion etc.

With multiple terms allowed i get the form field filled with """"

Can anyone assist me? thanks it would be much appreciated as 'its doing my nut in'

thanks

I could find out what scripts i have running if you think it will help. I just dont know where to begin trying to sort this. thanks

mmmm it gets stranger. its actually working for one content type using the same tpl as the other forms. Lets make a new content type with just one field, an autocomplete deluxe one.... nope it doesnt seem to want to work on that.

the only differance i have on the working form is an image field. dunno why it would affect it but lets try adding an image field....nope. errrrrr

so why does it work on only one content type sharing the same tpl as the other working ones? Why does it work for all forms with a differant theme? possibly some node.tpl coming into play? nope no node.tpls done.

Anyone any suggestions? thanks

Hi, @fadgadget - is this still a problem for you?

If it is, here are some thoughts off the top of my head:
- It looks like you may be manually looking at which tpls are in play - have you tried comparing the different content types scenarios using theme_debug? If not, see https://www.drupal.org/docs/7/theming/overriding-themable-output/working....
- If it's not actually the template, then it sounds like the CSS is somehow using a different selector in the mis-behaving scenario. Have you looked to see which selector is active on the widget in the standard vs. mis-behaving scenarios?
- Also, thought I don't recall anything that might impact what you've described, there have been quite a few updates to the 7.x-2.x-dev branch (including some changes to the js and css) in the last couple of weeks, so you might do an update and see if that helps.

Good luck!
