Additionally the following improvements were made:

• Remove a potentially harmful call to variable_get from within hook_init
• Remove a call to ob_start from hook_init. Drupal 7 always starts output buffering.
• Move authcache ajax settings in block configuration into vertical tabs, otherwise the settings are displayed in an awkward position (either at the top or at the bottom of the form)
