FTP Bulk Upload?

I hope you are doing well.

I am new to Drupal 7's audio field. I am migrating my site from Drupal 6 where I was using the audio module successfully. I've been able to get Drupal 7 to upload and attach and play the audio no problem for each node.

I am looking for how to replicate the audio module feature where I can FTP 100 audio files every month (or whenever) and have the module import, convert them to nodes, and then remove them from the import folder). Then the next week a new batch of files are uploaded and imported, etc. I've seen that it can scan a folder, but it does not seem to remove the imported files and so it will import the same ones over and over.

Or is there a better way to accomplish a bulk import please?
