Unfortunately, when the widget type for the file filed is set to audio file field, I lose the option to select the progress bar as viewable when uploading. If I set it as a file, I am given the choice between throbber and progress bar. Can this option be added so I can see the progress bar when uploading audio files the the audio file field?

i copied filefield's implementation of hook_field_widget_settings_form() and it worked for me.
note you'll have to edit the field options on each content type for this to take effect.
