When I use this module, highlight doesn't work in Japanese.

I think that a line of apachesolr_multilingual.module may be wrong. so I tried to make a pache to fix condition of "Remove all language un-specific fields from highlighting".

Search result highlighting doesn't work in more languages than just Japanese (so I changed the issue title). I can confirm that patch #3 fixes the issue.

I just had the same problem with version 1.3. I can confirm this patch applies to the 1.3 version as well and it fixes the highlighting too.
