Just wanted to drop a note to say that this module is awesome! :D

My blog is updated so infrequently (cobbler's shoes yadda yadda) that between the last time I made a post and now, Mollom got decommissioned. Normally this isn't a problem since I turn commenting off historical posts. But I wanted comments on my latest post so people could send amendments/updates if they had them. But it didn't take long at all before the site was drowning in spam. :P

I tried Honeypot first and, to its credit, it did block several dozen of these requests using the clever "fake field" mechanism it employs. However, the bulk of these were still getting through... maybe they sniff that the site is Drupal and are a bit smarter about submitting.

@mlhess told me about this module during a particular attack when spam comments were coming in faster than I could delete them (literally; between when the bulk-edit confirm form came up and I pressed "Delete," there were two more). Threw this module on figuring what the heck and the site is now QUIET. Ahhhh. I can go back to enjoying my weekends. :P

Thank you SO much for this little bit of genius!

Thank you very much for those kind words and sharing your experience. I'm always happy to hear when this module is working out for others; especially when it's doing a better job than the alternatives. I was never a fan of honeypot - the approach just seems like a weak assumption and hope for the best. I don't know how long antibot's approach will continue working well, but, like you, I think it's far more superior. I'm still surprised with the gigantic gap in usage between antibot and honeypot.

If you ever have any suggestions for improvements, please let me know.

mstef, I know I've shown my love for Antibot months ago, but damn, it just cannot be said enough: This module is fricking great! Thank you!
