I can not seem to get the module working, in most part I hope casue the README.txt is at least in part incorrect. It starts with :

Usage Directions:
Step 1:
Configure an input filter (admin/config/content/alinks) to enable replacements
per format and set a replacement limit.

On my /admin/config/content/alinks page I see no options for an input filter. I can 'Configure the displays on which alinks should be used' on that page, I added the displays of the entitytypes and -bundles where I wanted to use alink. Seems pretty straightforward.
Below that I can Replace taxonomy terms' and I assumed this where I can check which vocabularies alinks turns into keywords automtically? I checked my own vocabulary here.

Step 2:
Add links: /admin/content/alinks
Enter the word you want to replace in the "Word/Phrase" field.
- leave the "start" and "end" checkboxes unchecked unless you're creating a
multilingual replacement.
- check the "case insensitivity" box if you want it to be case insensitive.

This page (Keywords list) has a 'add new' button which takes you to admin/structure/taxonomy/manage/euroabc/add
On this page you can put in the name (and link from step3.)
No visible form elements for start, stop or case sensitivity though.
